I loved drawing since childhood, but gave up because of going to school and work. After working in San Francisco, I studied sketching at Berkeley Extension for one year (2011). In the summer of the second year after retirement (2017), he started to learn oil painting.
He has been stationed in Europe and the United States for many years, often visiting painting exhibitions, and admiring the styles of famous painters such as Egon Schiele, Lucian Freund, Avigdor Arikha, Norman Rockwell, Paul Madonna, etc.
From 2017 to the present for nearly four years, I have learned painting from six oil painting teachers and have completed more than 200 works, including still lifes, portraits, animals, street scenes, landscapes, etc. Subject matter; constantly trying different techniques such as fine description, thin coating, extensive, thick coating, etc. At this stage, I am trying to explore my own painting style in realism and freehand brushwork.
